Terms, in plain English.

1Who we are

ACR Desk is a service of Ashdi LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“we,” “us”). We are a small, distributed team that evaluates web-based software for accessibility and writes Accessibility Conformance Reports. We work in writing, by email.

2The quote is the agreement

Before any payment, we send a written quote: the product and version, the standard (WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA unless agreed otherwise), the VPAT® edition, the screens and key flows in scope (up to 15), the fixed price and the delivery date. When you accept it and pay the deposit, the quote and these terms form our agreement. Anything not in the quote is not part of the job unless we both agree to it in writing.

3Prices and payment

• ACR, WCAG edition: $1,490. ACR, Section 508, EU or INT edition: $1,990. Prices in U.S. dollars.
• 50% is due when you accept the quote and 50% on delivery, by card through a Stripe payment link. You receive a receipt for each payment.
• ACR Care: $199 per month, billed monthly by card, with a three-month minimum, then month to month. Cancel by email; cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing month.

4Delivery date, and late means free

The delivery date in your quote counts 5 business days from the moment we have all three of: the deposit, a working test account, and the agreed list of screens and flows. If your test environment is unavailable during testing, the date moves by the same amount of time, and we tell you in writing the same day.

If we miss the delivery date, you don’t pay. We refund the deposit in full, cancel the balance, and still deliver the report.

5What you receive

The ACR on ITI’s VPAT® 2.5Rev template in the edition quoted, as a Word file and an accessible HTML version; a prioritized fix list; a draft accessibility statement; and, for the Section 508 edition, GSA’s Issue Detail Supplement and a draft Supplemental Accessibility Report.

6Retest and corrections

One retest of the issues in the fix list is included, at any time within 90 days of delivery, completed within 3 business days of your request, followed by an updated ACR. If a remark is wrong on the facts, we correct it at no charge. We do not change a finding because it is inconvenient.

7Your part

• Provide a working test account and accurate information about the product and version.
• Review the report before you use it. The ACR is your statement about your product: you approve it, publish it under your name and answer for it to your buyers, as ITI’s instructions place the integrity of the report’s data on the vendor.
• Tell us if your buyer requires something specific — a WCAG version, an edition, a format, or a named assistive technology — before you accept the quote.

8What the ACR is, and isn’t

An ACR records the results of a manual, tool-assisted evaluation of the screens and flows in scope, in one version of your product, on the dates tested. It is not a certification — none exists for ACRs — and it is not legal advice. We do not guarantee that your product conforms to any standard or law, that a buyer will accept it, or that you will not receive a complaint or a claim.

9What we don’t do

• Write or change your code, or install overlays or widgets.
• Evaluate native mobile apps, desktop software or hardware.
• Test with screen readers other than VoiceOver with Safari on macOS, or under the DHS Trusted Tester process.
• Give legal advice, review contracts, or sign warranties or indemnities on your behalf.
• Hold calls or meetings.

10Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel before testing starts and get the deposit back in full. Once testing has started, the deposit covers the work done, except under the late-delivery rule in section 4, which always applies.

11Confidentiality and data

We use your test account only to do the work, do not enter real personal data, and delete the credentials when the work is delivered. Your product details, findings and reports are confidential: we don’t publish them or name you as a client without your written permission. The sample on this site is fictitious.

12Ownership

Once paid in full, the ACR, the fix list and the draft statement are yours to use, edit and publish. We keep our methods, checklists and internal tools. The VPAT® template and name belong to ITI and are used as ITI allows.

13Limitation of liability

Our total liability under any engagement is limited to the amount you paid us for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost contracts.

14Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
